Additionally, the minister indicated that the completion of the ninth round of commercial coal mine auctions would lead to the sale of 100 coal blocks. 馃寪 A total of 31 coal mines are being offered in the ninth round of auctions, spread across coal-rich Indian states such as Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Telangana. 鉀忥笍
According to the latest information, there was a visible increase in coal production in 2023. In October 2023, coal production rose to 78.65 million tons, a significant increase compared to production in the same month of the previous year. This growth was reflected in the coal industry index, which rose to 18.4% in October 2023. 馃搱
Furthermore, the Indian government plans to increase coal production from underground mines to 100 million tons by 2030, utilizing modern mass production technologies. In light of the growing demand for electricity, it is estimated that India's demand for electricity could double by 2030, underscoring the importance of increasing coal production. 馃攲
